This Week at St. Peter’s Church of Coupland – New Generations

Submitted by Pastor Frank Dietz:

At St. Peter’s on the hill it will be a busy, interesting, and challenging day!

In worship, five confirmands will present some of their faith convictions and discoveries as part of the homily preceding Communion. The Rite of Confirmation will be observed next Sunday, 13th as part of Palm Sunday worship.

In the afternoon, United Church of Christ congregations of the Brazos Association (bringing people from as far east as Washington County, as far south as I-10, and from Colorado County and west of Austin) will meet for worship, fellowship and discernment. A major item of business is the Ecclesiastical Council for ordination candidate Martin Garrison. For 2 years Martin worked with older youth at St. Peter’s, providing some special local interest. A splendid meal follows as part of the hospitality and welcome being planned. Pianist Nina McIntire who has just come from Germany will share her giftedness as well.

Come one and all!

This is the URL, if anyone is interested in joining this website – it is pretty handy, you can post messages to the community without going through me and there are 95 or so members already in our community. People outside our community cannot see our information. It’s similar to Facebook in a way, you can post classified ads, ask questions, tell about something going on – just about anything. If you have problems joining, let me know and I can fix it, but let me know your address – usually it has to do with the boundaries. j
