Coupland Fire Dept LogoBarbara Worthy, co-owner of the Old Coupland Inn & Dancehall, reports that the Coupland Volunteer Fire Department and the Inn & Dancehall are hosting a fundraiser on Friday, October 3, at the Dancehall.  Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a great barbecue buffet including brisket, chicken, pulled pork, potato salad, cole slaw, and beans.  Kenny Orts and his Band will perform beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Barbara says, “We will be raffling a 48” big screen TV that night, and we have tickets available at the restaurant. Let’s show our support for the Coupland VFD by supporting this event for a donation of $20 per person, which includes a great meal and a wonderful evening of entertainment.”  The price for the meal only is $10, and the price for the dance only is $10.  Food will be served until it is gone.

Have you seen Flo?

This is not Flo but this is what a Great Pyrenees looks like.

This is not Flo but this is what a Great Pyrenees looks like.

Flo is missing. She is a Great Pyrenees – big girl – all white.  Late yesterday a gun was fired (to kill a rattlesnake) and she got spooked and took off.

She lives on Lund Road – between 95 North (from Elgin going north to Coupland) and County Line Road- across 95 from Roemer Road. –  but who know how far she will run and when she is scared.

If you see Flo, please call Marge or Eric.

Marge – 512 992-5930

Eric – 512 496-6976
